New Types

Two new types are introduced into Pokemon in the Reia Region. The types are Speed and Sound.

 

The Speed Type

Type Chart 

Weak to: Rock, Ground, Dark, Steel, Ice

Resistant to: Electric, Normal, Fighting

Super effective against: Sound, Normal

Not very effective against: Steel, Rock, Ice, Dark

Immune to: Speed

Old moves that become Speed Type: Quick Attack, Extremespeed, Quick Guard, Double Team, Detect, Fake Out, Me First, Follow Me

Old Pokemon that become Speed Type: Tyrogue (Fighting/Speed), Hitmontop (Fighting/Speed), Hitmonlee (Fighting/Speed), Hitmonchan (Fighting/Speed), Electrode (Electric/Speed), Electabuzz (Electric/Speed), Electivire (Electric/Speed), Linoone (Normal/Speed), Dodrio (Normal/Speed), Blitzle (Electric/Speed), Zebstrika (Electric/Speed), Ponyta (Fire/Speed), Rapidash (Fire/Speed)

Arceus gains Speed Type with the use of the Dash Plate.

 

The Sound Type

Super effective against: Normal, Fighting, Psychic, Ghost, Fairy

Not very effective against: Steel, Rock, Ice, Ground

Old moves that become Sound Type: Hyper Voice, Screech, Roar, Uproar, Growl, Noble Roar, Metal Sound, Sing, Sonicboom, Supersonic, Boomburst, Relic Song

Old Pokemon that become Sound Type: Whismur (Normal/Sound), Loudred (Normal/Sound), Exploud (Normal/Sound), Mime Jr. (Psychic/Sound), Mr. Mime (Psychic/Sound), Noibat (Dragon/Sound), Noivern (Dragon/Sound), Woobat (Flying/Sound), Swoobat (Flying/Sound), Jigglypuff (Fairy/Sound), Wigglytuff (Fairy/Sound), Audino (Normal/Sound), Meloetta (Psychic/Sound), Chingling (Psychic/Sound), Chimecho (Psychic/Sound), Chatot (Flying/Sound)

Arceus gains Sound Type with use of the Screech Plate.

Rotom gains a Boom Box form which is Electric/Sound Type.

Meloetta’s Pirouette Form is Fighting/Sound.
